Autechres recent work contains many sounds and textures reminiscent of
Tod Dockstaders
work especially the 'Quatermass' album. Ever wonder where they got the
idea for the
'wine glasses bouncing together' sound from? (used on Chicili Suite)
Tom Jenkinson was raving about Dockstader to Hardy Spymania about a year
ago, apparently
Hearing Dockstader 'changed everything' or something... anyway it has
been a big influence
On his new Warp album from all accounts. Quatermass is definitely worth
checking out, just
Don't expect it to sound like Autechre ;-)
