There's been some talk/confusion about Mouse on Mars recently, just thought I'd try to add some help: MoM - INSTRUMENTALS (Sonig 01) Ltd. LP that mostly compiles instrumental trax that appeared on other compilations on Sub Rosa, Mille Plateaux etc. Although it is a compilation, a very solid and cohesive work. Shows very much how the duo has matured. My fave LP bei die Maus. MoM - GLAM (Sonig 03) Ltd. LP that is the soundtrack to a never finished movie starring Tony Danza. This was supposedly recorded a few years ago, dis ain't new. Another solid work. Features "Glim" which was on the "Twift" EP. (Also notable that both AFX and MoM have a track called "Flim.") Lithops - UNI UMIT (Sonig 04) Ltd LP by Jan. Shows the freakier bleepier side of MoM that often has Oval/Microstoria-ish moments. Very good though, alot more melodic than Microstoria. This is now on CD in the States with some extra trax. I also now available on CD in Japan in some special packaging. Lithops - DIDOT (Eat Raw) Another LP, don't have this one, but it's on thick wax :) Lithops - "Tubino See Through" (Static Caravan 01) Ltd 7" by Jan, Lance's review on this was very accurate. Alot more like "Vulvaland", incredible release. Harder, more acidic than usual. Nice packaging too. There are more Lithops 7"s available (see their latest KATALOG), also there's a Lithops 12" on (Eat Raw) called "Wackler." As for Pluramon and Schlammpeitziger. These are pals of MoM that Jan & Andi help out with (part of that Koeln klique), but these are separate groups on their own. -Mike

SC mentioned that this states-side cd was going to be on Jim O'Rourke's label. i hadn't even heard of this label until he mentioned it, so i'm not sure how it works - are these Lithop "uni umit" cd's horribly limited? just wondering if i should run to the record store now before i start havng regrets. btw, what's up with susanne brokesch?
