Sounds a bit porno, no? Anyway, yes, it's true, and perhaps old hat to some, but Muslimgauze remixed No-Man's "Punished for Being Born". 3 (closet No-Man fan)

That's the one; however, I believe Barbieri is not a permanent member of the band. He has played on several No-Man albums, as has Robert Fripp and a veritable ganglion of noise-making luminaries. 3

I don't know enough about this release - but recently borrowed a CD-R of a Jensen-Barbieri EP containing 4 tracks, titled Karn : Seed. I don't know whether the group goes under the name of Karn or Seed, and which is the EP's title... but the music on it is excellent. Can anybody shed more light on this? Release year? I *

Steve Jansen, Richard Barbieri, Mick Karn are all former members of Japan. The album title is "Seed". Much other excellent material from these cats and collabs with others. Start with their record label, Medium: http://www.demon.co.uk/medium-prod/Medium.html Definitely hear the older material on Sylvian's solo albums, with Holger Czukay, Jon Hassell, David Torn, Robert Fripp, and many others. David Sylvian page: http://www.demon.co.uk/medium-prod/Medium.html Quite a range of music, from the pure ambience of "Gone to Earth" to the Crimsonish hard funk of the Sylvian/Fripp album. To bring this back into idm territory, FSoL did a remix of Sylvian/Fripp's "Darshan". Also, the " Changing Hands" record is a collaboration in which Jansen and Barbieri sent source material to Takemura to remix and edit, granting full creative freedom. The artists didn't meet. The results are quite beautiful - ambience and moody melodies over rhythms given the grit and cut treatment. Recommended. 3

No-Man is essentially Steven Wilson (instruments) and Tim Bowness (vox). Porcupine Tree is another one of Steven's projects. jeff -- dancing/about/architechture "...with wandering steps and slow..." ICQ904008

Oh yeah...I've just noticed the subject of this thread - dunno if it refers to a new project (or?), but Muslimgauze also did a mix of "Housewives on Heroin" on Dry Cleaning Ray. jeff

You should be able to find these titles at bigger on-line music stores, like CDNow and CDUniverse. (www.*.com). "Inevitably Damaged Milkmen"? Don't you mean "Incredibly Deluded Milkmen"? Those damn milkmen, no matter how much you warn them, they fall for that old housewife-in-negligee trick every time. 3
