Surprised to say that I'm quite enjoying LTJ Bukem's new full-length,
"Journey Inwards" (aside from the cheesy title and dodgy graphics... why is
it that junglists always gotta be getting all metaphysical'n'shit?).
Surprisingly enough, there's a fair amount of chilled-out downtempo on there
that wouldn't sound entirely out of place on a Kruder & Dorfmeister record.
Along similar lines, for those of you who aren't afraid of fusion, there's
some *great* tracks (and a couple real clunkers) on the "Cookin'"
compilation on the GLR/LGR offshoot, Cookin' Records.
