That's probably due in no small part to the fact that Sire has 3-4 people keenly interested in and involved with Our Richard, and this is reflected in their being given props on WAP100. - Greg

but isnt that how all independent music gets major deals? im sure nothing have people who are fans of ae/tj etc, and if theyre investing money in them, then whats holding back the releases? jif

My guess would be Interscope and/or Universal. I know someone who works for Universal Canada and, well... let's just say that they don't put a whole lot of effort into getting nothing/Interscope releases out into the stores. but thats not all, since with not only talking Sire here, were talking Warner Music Canada, Mississauga, which serves to prove how efficient the whole Time-Warner network is when its time to talk biz... jif
