Anyone out there heard of a new band called Finger? Their debut LP is out now on Milk, a subsidiary of Cup of Tea. It has Si John (Bass Player from Reprazent), DJ Suv and Alex Swift. There's a good combination of electronic, organic and sampled sounds, and there are breakbeats to suit all persuasions too. Looks like being one of the best albums of the year for me... No kidding. I'm a bit floored by this one. Really tweaked overloaded effort, fairly amped in places. Nothing like Reprazent/Full Cycle/Dope Dragon gear. Some actual downtempo trax & hyper-rhythmic elements. A Milk discog, Lance?... -Våt. ___________________________________ Reckankreuzungs Klankewerkzeuge & Company PO Box 382864 Cambridge, MA 02238 - 2864 is online @ http://www.tiac.net/users/sheket

While I won't go so far as to say it's gonna be one the best of the year, I agree that this is a fine release. Some really nice, dark edges to it that you don't usually get from the Cup of Tea camp. And it's especially good when you consider that it's basically the same line-up as Federation, who release one of the worst slabs of shite that Cup of Tea has ever unloaded. (Although I heard from a friend who saw Federation live in Montreal last week that they absolutely *smoke* on stage). Greg
