I'll toss in my 2 cents here, as I remember that time well. The following picks are based on what I think are pretty easy to find, at least in the states, and were some of my early purchases. they've also stood the test of time very well: 1. most anything by orbital. my early faves were the 2nd brown album (I actually bought it on cassette back then), and the diversions CD. orbital is easy to find. 2. artificial intelligence 1 or 2 (I think 2 is better). 3. aphex twin stuff. anything really...pretty easy to find. 4. autechre. again seems to be sorta easy to find, at least as far as inacunabula (sp?) and amber are concerned. both are excellent albums. 5. future sound of london, ISDN or whatever. again pretty popular in mainstream shops. <re-lurk> -jimg/skoop @slackers.net
