I'm skeptical that Nothing would pull a dick manoeuver like this, or that Warp would go along with it. But if it's true, I might be able to pick up a few copies of the release while I'm in Britain at the end of July. Interested parties please contact me. Ho, ho -- I can just imagine the kinds of conversations with US Border Patrol thugs I'd be having on the return trip: -- Hearing the click-clack of plastic on plastic as I walk through Inspections, the guard points to my bagpack and asks, "What's that in your bag, sir?" "What? Who, me?" "Yes; please step aside, sir." Pulls on a latex glove with a snap. Well, I think, I'm fucked now. "Erm... To be honest, I'm no good at lying: they're CD cases filled with varying amounts of crack cocaine and heroin." Reluctant pause. "Alright." A disappointed look on his face as he pulls off the glove. "Move along, then. We're on the lookout for sleasy characters who're smuggling pure Autechre into the country." "No problem, sir -- just doing your job." "That stuff is Schedule V, you know. Nasty stuff -- rots the brain right to the stem." "Right. Nice chatting with you." etc. -- Alex __________________________________________________________________________ Alex Reynolds Distributed Support Specialist Department of Biology School of Arts & Sciences Computing University of Pennsylvania Philadelphia, PA email:reynolda@sas.upenn.edu phone:215.573.2818 PGP Fingerprint: E0E3 BB20 C1BC 3C0D 56A1 1FD5 5B9C 9E91 A7F0 F9B5 "The future belongs to crowds." -- _Mao II_, Don DeLillo
