Blah!!!!!! I love BOC, but I think their full length LP is overrated. I mean its got some _killer_ tracks, but overall its no big thing. Plus some tracks are terribly too loopy (track 11 for example) And all the little sounds of children bother me. Furthermore all that hype for that fucking 7inch! Geez, poor peeps like PJ had to go thru all that poopoo and then the fucking tracks were on the full-length anyway. just my opinion, I know there's tons who think BOC are GODS. Maybe I will after a few more listens of this "Music...children" but so far I'm not all that interested in it:( g ps: Matador is great label with/without BOC, look at all the cool rock bands on their label- Yo La tego (por ejemplo)

Perhaps you think it is overrated because maybe you can't related to it. For me, I can related to it very much... im not speaking of the psychodelic edge it has, but that i can related to the melodies. I remember reading in an interview that they create melodies that you are familiar with but can't quite place. IMHO, a loopy beat is alright with me if its accompanied by a nice little tune. I enjoy the little voices that creep up here and there on the LP. Especially the Hellinterface track on Mask2. If I dig hard enough, I probably have the original version of "Trapped" somewhere in my collection. Yes, "Aquarius" was on the LP but in a slightly different version. At first, I thought it was the same but after a few listens its quite obvious that it is different than the LP version. As for "Chinook" it was only exclusive to the seven inch. Yeah, before you give it a final stamp of disapproval, try reading some of the interviews to get a better insight to the Boards and what they are trying to acieve, then give it another listen.
