just some quick info on mr. j's new album. he's 'ditched' the sequencers and samplers in favor of a multitrack recorder. instruments will include bass guitar, a drum kit, a 'jazz kit,' some synths, and a bit of vocals. (not singing though...) supposedly more 'experimental' and improv as he considers hard normal daddy to be on the 'pop' side of things. style wise, it's not going to be in the d'n'b realm. (he never considered his work to be drill / tweaked / or 'intelligent' d'n'b anyway...) have no idea what to expect. just 'reporting' what i read in an interview with the well spoken 23 year old. sounds pretty nifty though... christian -- " Ask Not What Your Country Can Do For You, But What You Can Do For Me. Did he mention how he *would* classify his music? It pretty much defies a neat little box, doesn't it?

POP !!! Ha ha ha! That rather redifines 'pop' as we know it :-)) I *

This sounds rather interesting. If Tom Jenkinson's "experimental" stuff is much like the laid back jazzy breaks that Luke Vibert exhibits on his Plug outings, I will snatch it up right away. Jason

well, if you consider the melody, it is rather poppy (but not pop as in hanson or spice girls pop)...with the exeption of SP's drumming, it's pure muzak...it's frightening how often i think _HND_ is being played when i hear the soft jazzy muzak tunes quietly oozing through the PA system in the bathroom or the elevator here at work... -brad
