(as usual), i concur with the LCMcG tip on this one. really refreshing to
hear melody creep back into this music we stalk, reminding me why i got
into it in the first place 6 or 7 years ago.
i heard a few tracks that he taped for me a month or so ago and thought it
was ace. the rest of the CD lives up to the expectations.
the influences are fairly obvious, but they're integrated creatively with
innovative new sounds so that it doesn't come off the least bit
deriviative.
tracks like "pineapple boy", "my blue car" and "tangerine" give me shivers
reminiscient of the first times i needle dropped on SAW85-92, tango n
vectif, or mapod. it's THAT good. keep your ears open for more from this
fine up-n-coming toronto label.
