I noticed this too, but I think it's a great idea. When they're down to only enough money left to press one 12", they scratch CHLT001 into the run-out groove and auction them off for... Eh, whatever. Briefly, after only one listen apiece: the Funkstoerung is good, seems to put the funk (uh, in English, not the radio) in their name. The PBO is also good, but doesn't quite grab me like his first one. Don't trust any of this, of course. One listen is really worthless for judging a record. yours, Romulo Del Castillo --------------------------- Danny Wyatt danny@arbitrary.com http://www.arbitrary.com/

i think ALL funkstorung is "supposed" to be played at 45, except for the one 12 on compost that is 45 on one side and 33 on the other, and of course the mask stuff. and damn fine pair of 12's those things are, aren't they? the PBO is definitely 33 because the autechre mix has been played by them before live and radioshow, and it was at the 33 speed... -kiya np:kungfunkfusion, this is stilldamngood.

I managed to pick up Push Button Objects 'Return Home' and Funkstorung 'Post Art' at the weekend, which are my first Chocolate Industries purchases. Amazing stuff. By far the best FunkStorung I've heard to date ( perhaps because I have had time to mull over their style ). The Push Button Objects ep just complete blew me away. All the reviews and discussion here hadn't prepared me for these four tracks of sonic pleasure. Music good enough to bring your ma back begging for more. Definately one of the better releases I've bought in the last while. Must have more... hmmm... another musical tangent to chase down for a while... will it ever end.. I certainly hope not... So where can I get more? Are there discog's online for PBO? Is there a Chocolate Industries webpage up yet? Schematic site would be handy too I suppose. -- hjw

agreed. it's definetly more varied than the previous efforts, without straying too far from the autechre sound. there was one really good track on _sonderstiente_ and 'tank' from _break art_, but otherwise, the post art stuff is the best i've heard yet

huh??! the one on chocolate industries??! i found it boring and repeative. the only track that's particularly interesting is the original version of 'non-exsistant', which loses me by the time it hits that high pitched sound. the gescom remix trys too hard to sound like the first PBO ep on schematic, and fails miserably. the other two are just kinda clunky and repeative. try to pick up the first one on schematic (sch003) that'll really blow you away. he actually does a GOOD job with the hip-hop skam-y meld on that one.

theres a [non]site at http://www.gate.net/~schema/ but the only thing there is just a logo and an e-mail link. i think gonzi is doing the site. oh, and whats with the DR [inspired? the pbo is the only one that actually says so] graphics on the recent schematics and chocolate ind. releases. that is _so_ warp. i mean, i dig tDR and all, but can't they just do their own thing? mlt http://members.xoom.com/multsanta/ [uziq/musik aus strom/karaokekalk/++]

Well I was supposed to but I think it is on hold and will be for a while. BTW, I don't know how many people know about this - but Josh (Jeswa) occasionally hosts a radio show on a station in Miami on Friday nights at 1am EST. You can listen to it over the web on http://www.thewomb.com There is also a Schematic webpage there but it is under construction. GnZ.

there's a funkstorung discography at my musik aus strom (which, if you didn't already know, is the label run by funkstorung) site: http://members.xoom.com/multsanta/mas/ click data then click funkstorung then click complete funkstorung discography. it's slightly outdated, as it's missing the track listing for post-art, but otherwise it should do the trick. as for jeswa. there is one single release which is the one on schematic (sch004) and that is it. Josh (Jewsa) has worked with other groups such as Soul Oddity and Phoencina, but the full discography has been posted here at least five times (by myself and others on various occasions) and i don't feel like tyiping the whole thing in again. m._http://members.xoom.com/multsanta/ [uziq/musik aus strom/karaokekalk/++]
