Sparkes, jazz-blues poet and vocalist with world-fusion band Transglobal
Underground joins Saul Williams, the New York Nuyorcian Poet Cafe's 1996
Grand Slam champion, for a night of electryfying performance poetry.
Future Pilot AKA & Mount Vernon Arts Lab
Headed by ex- Soup Dragon Sushil K Dade, Future Pilot's forthcoming LP
on their own Via Satellite label includes contributions from Andy
Weatherall, Cornershop & The Pastals. Other Pilot projects include
a reworking of Joe Meek's 'Telstar' with Alan Vega and Thurston Moore

Evan Parker
Saxaphonist Evan Parker has created a unique reportoire of multiphonic
effects and split notes in a career which began with late 1960's
improvisations. Although his music is now almost wholly abstract, the
influence of John Coltrane's late period improvisations is clear.

New outfit put together by Japanese pluderphonic turtable-terrorist-
improv-band leader and ex- Ground Zero main man Otomo Yoshihide,
Otomo has worked with everyone who is *anyone* in the Improv scenes
both in Japan and abroad, including John Zorm, Yamatsuka Eye, Tenko etc..
