has anybody heard any of the releases on the basic channel/chain reaction sublabel, imbalance? they were described by monolake's robert henke as "more on the sound research, ambient, conceptual music, computer music thing..." (this in a brief email interview thingy in zavtone magazine.) sounds good to me. should i check any of them out? sc

The imbalance label has been around since 94 releasing experimental, darkambient-sounding soundscapes that have little resemblance to their basic channel parent label. i've listened to all of them at one time or another but only purchased two of them but even those i don't listen to on a regular basis. if i had to pick one that i listen to most, it would be the async sense because it's the least experimental of the lot. here are the four imbalance relases . wieland samolak: steady state music cd (imbalance 01) . robert henke: piercing music cd (imbalance 02) . async sense cd/12" (imbalance 03) . robert henke: floating point cd (imbalance 04) -->-Lance--- p.o. box 450715 westlake, ohio 44145 united states
