just picked this up in london after serching for it for about 2 years..heres a review(because it features a lot of the respected idm artists) 1 harz born under a rhyming planet (jamie hodge remix) 2 echtzeit the"echtzeit" retrofit(by claude young) 3 zone 30 plaid mix 4 ventil q-mulator mx by mouse on mars 5 echtzeit move d rmx 6 aspirin global communications mix... Track1 is a sparse electo type mix, starting with stripped down percussion bringing in bass zappy noises while a dark atmosphere builds in the background, blends into a rumbling slow percusion and rebuilding the the origional elements back in..quite a dark sounding track.. Track2 a pretty freeform jazzish percussion starts off, nice atmospheres etc reminding me of a warp69/global comm kinda sound..nice melodies and a meandering lead line through the track Track3 starts with irregular bassline, bringing in a jerky stabby melody, then to a hip hop/electro beat..nice plinky echoey melodies over the beat, nice bass, then adding more melody elements..changes into an organ chord sequence with nice bass, then back with some more nice melodies.like some of the album tracks, and sounds instantly like plaid. track4..mouse on mars jittery percusion and odd noises, then gets into a breackbeat kinda section with a deep bassline, then back to jittery odd noises and more jittery chopped up percussion.carries on like this, changing and getting more like r2d2 bleeping for recue...a pretty normal mouse on mars track(if theyre ever normal) track5 a smooth jazzy house track, typically nice moved stuff. track6..nearly 13 minutes of blissed ambience,no beat but ends off the album nicely. and, even though its a few years old, still sounds fresh.. now looking at: piece of cheese

I wholeheartedly agree with wayne about the sensorama remix lp. It's a real gem - especially the jamie hodge, claude young, plaid and mouse on mars remixes. But i also want to recommend the other two sensorama albums - Der Welcome Insel, the original album and the recent Love album both on Ladomat 2000. The latter, Love, is a beautiful assemblage of loungy electronica, midtempo techno and bleepy ambience. I'll be posting a full review of it in the coming weeks but, suffice to say, it will get a high rating from me. In case you didn't know, the same guys who did Sensorama are also responsible for the Alter Ego, Acid Jesus, Eight Miles High, The Supreme Truth, The Primitive Painter, Roman IV and Roman vs. M/S/O releases. -->-Lance--- p.o. box 450715 westlake, ohio 44145 united states

I also recommend those two. 'Love' album must be great, too. I didn't order it yet but I intend to. Come one Lance post the review, please... I'm scared that it isn't maybe to kitchy, you know what I mean... a little of d'n'b a little of tech-house, a little of electro, a little of jazzy electronica, a little of ambient, . . . How long is it (mins) ?

I also highly recommend Ro70 album on Move D's Source label. Ro70 is just Roman Flugel (without Jorn Elling Wuttke). Brilliant piece of jazzy electronica, with taste in ambient and electro experimentation. Their best, imo. bye rob
