Anybody have an advance listen at this? It sounds promising, especially with the unmixed 4LP version. Specifically, how would it compare to, say, Aux88? -- jr

there are differences in pedigree (miami/detroit), and they both don't stray to far away from their niches. that 4xlp should be good for saving people $$/time from having to get them on white labels or from crate digging. the remix of "give the dj a break" doesn't show up very often at all. fyi, a couple of weeks ago i was cd shopping and came across a used copy of a mix cd remarkably similar to the tracklist posted, so keep an eye out if you're on a budget because in a way, this was previously released 3 or 4 years ago. the rephlex version could be mixed by someone other than a member of the band - i don't remember the original post - which could effect a difference between the two. otoh, my cash is waiting for dave clarke's new xmix. the first one is a bit conservative in the mixing department, but the track list is peerless for variety. eric, acronymically

The tracklisting is exactly the same as the copy I have that was released on Joey Boy records a couple of years ago. If you're a fan of Dynamix II or like your electro with some BASS, you will not be disappointed. You'll never buy another DMX Krew record again. Except maybe for the one that just came out on Pharma, which is actually pretty good.

Light years ahead of volume one. EQ'd with some bass (at last!) and none of the wack turntable stylistics of the first one, until the old school cut up at the end. Buy on sight. -Christina
