The latest issue of Mondo 2000 (Nina Hagen cover) has a Carl Craig interview in which he explains the title "More Songs about Food and Revolutionary Art". From what I remember, the title was actually a reflection of some personal obsession with food (Captain Crunch or something). Thats no joke. For the record, there are also interviews with Speedy J and some others. ----------

from craig interview march 97 An obvious question about your new album. Why did you name it 'More songs about Food & Revolutionary Art'? "To tell you the truth, the original title of this album was gonna be Critics Can Kiss My Ass. But maybe one of my future releases will have that title. I definitely wanted 'revolutionary art' in the title somewhere. Because Hannah's (Carl's partner, rp) father as a well known art- and moviecritic, opened my mind to a lot of things. So I was pretty sure I wanted to use the word 'revolutionary art' somewhere. I didn't want to use something like 'excursions in revolutionary art' because than it would seem like it reflected the music on the album. But by putting 'Songs about....' in front of it and including food in it I made it more tripped-out...." ____________________________________ forcefield | mindless entertainment http://www.sonik.demon.nl/forcefield
