Doe's any body have any information about who Vladislav Delay is? I know he is from Finland, but is it one guy or a group of people? Just wondering. If you haven't heard any thing by Vladislav Delay I suggest checking the work out. The music mostly consists of highly intuitive, long unfolding soundscapes such as "ele" on sigma. The recent "Mutila" on chain reaction is great, check out the track called Houne, one of the best tracks all year. And while I'm on the subject, what's up with that comp on Mille Plateau "Clicks and Cuts", it could have been so much better had they edited it down to the more essential artists on the comp. I guess they think their the first to expose a new genre of electronica. Is it me or are they being pretentious? Lastly, check out the new 7" by "Minit" called "bootleg" on tonschact, nice loopy, organic stuff, even better is the "Minit: Music" on sigma. I cant stop listening to track 5 off that disk. You can find the Minit 7" at tonschacht@gmx.net I think its a new series of 7" only releases, everything i have heard is great. -scott

Just check out V Delay's 12" on Max Ernst, and if you still cant understand the material I suggest "ele" which is going to be re-released by that label Mille Platux called entain. If any labels out there were on it they would be repressing "The kind of blue" ep of Hunne, but you know fuck it, it will all be gone. His work on chain reaction is great just spend some time with the 3rd track. Apparently he does not use a sampler which is amazing considering the length and complexity of the material. Dont buy it if you are only interested in heavy beats, it is music you must spend time with to fully comprehend, fuck it I don't give a rats ass about it, the shit is tight and if you cant see that I suggest you plug your drum machine up your ass and dance down the street. His work is influencing alot of new material, I bet if you asked Stefan Betke, Kit Clayton, Matmos, Isan any of those freaks about V. Delay they would shit a brick, no kidding a big pile of excited shit right there. Just read the recent article in the Wire. And does anyone have any idea when Dupree plans to release the new Shuttle 358? Dan Abrams work is tight ass. Dan Abrams, aka Shuttle358, is currently working a bunch of new stuff but the next thing he will have out is a track on the new 12k label compilation cd called 12k1008. Then you can expect a 12" for the Audio.NL label that Dan describes as "barely danceable stuff with an experimental twist all done at 22khz." This ep is now in the hands of Audio.NL so expect it in the next month or two. A little further down the road will be a new Shuttle358 album on 12k and a release on Tom Steinle's Tom label out of Germany. So there's your Shuttle358 report... -->-Lance--- lance@inaudible.com p.o. box 450715 westlake, ohio 44145 united states --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
