I have this... it was also issued on CD (I think identical), and the vinyl was just plain white cardboard with a sticker, limited to 1000. I picked it up because it came out well before the CD (same reason I have the Scorn/Coil/0 remixes of Tactile 12"). But anyways, label = Rawkus (same label with Company Flow and other hiphop types), title = "Aurora Remixes"; check www.rawkus.com, maybe they have the 12" (definitely have the CD). I just checked; they have both the Tactile and the Aurora 12"s, $5 a piece. I think they were mainly marketed as samplers for the albums, but either way the Tactile 12" (or, even better, the full-length) is phenomenal. In my opinion (speaking as a huge Scorn fan and Mick Harris completist), I thought the Aurora mixes were nice, well worth the $5 a Rawkus 12" costs (I'm guessing I got a lot more bang for my buck than, say, someone who spent $300 on a Skam 12"), but nothing to blow you out of your chair. If you are looking for more Incursions in Illbient type stuff, turn your gaze on Wordsound and (to a lesser extent) Asphodel. The double disc "Shake the Nation" on Wordsound is a perfect introduction; exclusive remixes from all the records, many seriously brilliant. people like Prince Paul, Bill Laswell, Scott Harding, Equations of Eternity, Slotek, lots of others are on the 2cd (not to mention wordsound just released the new M. Harris disc as the Weakener which I am listening to as we speak - quite different for Harris, not sure if that's good or bad). Other good wordsound releases - well, most of them, the only bad one I've heard is Laswell/Style Scott. Him was a little mediocre... but that's about it. Spectre is real good, Subterranean Hitz (both volumes) is good, Sensational is good, Crooklyn Dub Consortium comp is good, blah blah. As for Asphodel, look into Sub Dub (and others, but I'll leave the recommendations to someone else who knows better than I). Oh yeah, www.wordsound.com is the website. There's also the Solarus disc on Release featuring Plotkin (if you're looking into the Plotkin connection) that I liked quite a bit... --- the humble abbott arthur purvis set his hand hereto

personally i love the Laswell / Style Scott album - but it isn't as dark as the majority of the other Wordwound stuff - more of a straight dub album - just bass and drums. My favourite wordsound release is the Bug - Taping the Conversaton - which is mainly Kevin Martin of Techno Animal ( and whatever else ), and the new Spectre is pretty nice as well
