I've begun to regret wasting $17 on the piece of trite of an album. "Timeless," albeit is a bit on the light side of the whole "drum'n'bass" kick, is lightyears ahead, imo. Still very enjoyable by me. As for Saturn.. That's a different story. The first CD is *totally* throw-away music. Track one is a 60 minute tribute to his mother.. 5 minutes of which are non-repetitive to a *slight* degree (when he brings in the breakbeats.. 25 or so minutes into the song, at least). The second track is pretty much a poor attempt at ambient music with R&B vocals. Disc 2... Slightly less bland. "Digital" is an alright track. Nice bass; generic breakbeats, but you don't notice it as much due to the layering and KRS-ONE's vocals (which aren't half as good as KRS's solo stuff, imo-- Get his "I Got Next" LP if you're interested in more of him.). "Chico: Death of a Rockstar" and "Temper Temper" are the only other 2 songs on the double-LP which I can listen to.. The rest is genero-jungle, increbily repetative R&B, or pseudo-ambience. Goldie could've done *a lot* better. Hell, *I* could've done a lot better. I think I have, in fact... -- andrij.

A shite artist with a great label. He's WAY too hyped with nothing to back it up. He make s the worst tracks on his own label.

Agreed. It's really annoying. It's not even worth the 25 minute wait for bad breaks.

Horrible disc as well. Temper is okay. But not good by any standard of agressive jungle. This has got to be the worst album I've ever picked up. Sad because Platinum Breakz2 was excellent and shows that his label at least was going a bit heavier..and he has none of his own tracks on it..king of jungle my ass.

Speaking of which - I saw that there's a 12" of "Believe" (what the fuck is that supposed to be anyway?) coming out with a remix by Photek. What the hell is he going to do with that? Can't polish a turd and all that. Anyone heard it?

Probably. I just bought it coz it was one of the more interesting looking releases at the music shop. How's that for sad? Digital is good though. Strange aside : An English girl at work buys just about every fashion mag out of the UK, and I was looking through one of them yesterday, and saw Goldie #3 on a list of "Best Dressed" types or something. -i. np - Photek : Modus Operandi

It out now for big prices and will be out later at smaller ones. I've heard the Grooverider mix which was suprisingly good at the time (would be with Optical at the controls) but I can't remember what it sounds like right now. Haven't heard the Photek, but looks like this single might actually be worth the £2 it will come out for in its first week of release.
