recently picked up original 12" for $3.00 =) of this classic electro-disco-new wave hybrid, amazing production actually, very complex, very ahead of it's time, sounds almost like it could have been done late-eighties/early nineties rather than the actual year 1983! William Orbit in his prime, for sure. and on a similar note stylistically, I've been trying to track down an old Rengade Soundwave (I think...) side-project the artist or title of which is Liason Dangereous (not sure if my french spelling is correct, pardon) Crazy It's a Mute release, total classic, been sampled a million times by Detroit artists such as Mills, Carl Craig... Got to find it, anyone have leads, please let me know. -John

Hi, since I live in Brazil, I can´t really tell you where you could get it, or with whom, but I can give you more info on the record you mention. It is a 45 rpm 12" called Liaisons Dangereuses; released by Roadrunner records (rr125537), it has 3 songs in it: Los Niños del Parque, Etre assis ou danser, Mystère dans le brouillard. The first is a hypno-stab, with vocals irregularly crashing onto a most electronic pumping beat. It is strangely creamy and fluid, though the beats are hard and with very little arabesque. In 1992 (i think that´s the year) there was a new mix 12" with remixes by renegade soundwave, including 2 live ones. so there, hope I have helped. Pedro(the six)
