A while back I bought Tokyo Tower by Terranova and the credits said featuring Manuel Gottshing. Last week I picked up 'Tonwelle' by Richard Wahnfried for the princly sum of 10p, and again this featured Manuel Gottsching. I really like both these records. Can anyone recommend any other records in a similar vein featuring MG? Thanks Clive -- Clive

Techno has always been to me, a particular way of working ora particular way of thinking about music. If some people cant see past standard definitions of music then they are surely missing out on so much music which defies standard categorisation. Purism is as damaging to music as Patriotism is to the human race... Steve ;-9 p.s. my roland jx8p has just crashed! its making the best crazy space noises and chatting in japanese.

Well, but standard definitions are how human beings communicate with each other. I don't think there's anything "purist" in expecting that most of us are going to be using words to mean roughly the same things. By the way, Steve, I think you're being a shithead. Now, I'm not using the standard definition of "shithead" when I say that, so feel free to guess at what I really mean. i sort of regretted replying to that mail in the way i did about 2 mins afteri sent it!... because i wasnt aiming it at anyone in particular...but i guess it seemed to look that way.. i fully accept your point in calling me a shithead and your definition thereof. ;-) i sometimes forget im on a public mailing list and not discussing music with my friends while drunk etc. Steve
