Nice mellow, atmospheric downtempo with abstract jazz inspired trumpet and electric trumpet over the top (that's the collaborator). Less hip-hop than Twilight, and very nice. Joe

snipz. the album is called ki-oku and it's on apollo, which is of course the ambient arm of r&s. i dunno why this didn't come out on mo wax, because it's that mythical trip-hop-meets-authentic-jaz record they've been trying to put out since palmskin jumped ship. very sparse beats with the odd scratch and sample. toshinori kondo plays a very laidback trumpet over top of it. i'm not really a fan of krush's but this record is excellent. i've played it for my jazz-muso homies and they liked it too. go figure.
