Can anyone give me any clue as to what this is? At a recent record fair I bought (for a quid) a mystery white label with a Warp sticker on the sleeve and written on the label THU "France" (and AM-DS) with the engraved serial no. RTD-176 1400 0. Sort of in a late--80s jangly piano house type mode. Genuine Warp or what? BABY DIDDY

The RTD catalogue-number indicates that it is a German pressing. RTD stands for Rough Trade. They are marketing Warp in Germany. In the old days, they even pressed up their own vinyl. Thaddi Baby Diddy wrote:

Probably not a very 'hip' or 'intelligent' track to own but probably one that sums up the whole 'house music is/isn't intelligent' thread. "No it couldn't be on Warp . . . Warp's toooooo cool . . . . . ". Wake up trainspotters, not everything's raincoats and record collections that mean more to own rather than to listen to. Yellow Peril

It's THK not THU. You have this track also featured on WARPCD10 V/A "Tequila Slammers And The Jump Jump Groove Generation" and on WAP26/WAP26CD THK "France".... bye rob
