Because humans are inherently vocal people. If something doesn't have vocals, we need to try to add them. I like some of the "rapping" over jungle that i've heard from the likes of MC Conrad(i think that's him?) and others, but i agree, the MCing i've heard at local clubs is absolute shite...its distracting and demeaning to the music, which was meant to be on its own.
