Oh god, Yeah, I think it is really cool and weird and harsh is some seriously nice ways. It is a very 'awake' listenning experience imo, and very demanding. It shifts footing in a way that is similar to Black Dog's Spanners and the last Aural Expansion "Surreal Sheep". I'd like to here some earlier stuff. The new Germ LP has acoustic bass, trombone, and (? trumpet) mixed in there is a very Max Roach-bebop-jazz feel sorta-way. It blends well given that many of the electronic sounds 'honk' and 'sputter' more than the wild horns. A very electronic album with, ironically, a few acoustic instruments perfectly merged in... anyone know what Germ ( Tim Wright ) are up to at the moment - their last album Parrot was excellent- but it came out in 1995 ( on GPR ) - have I missed anything ... thanks dave
