No beats. Reverbed-out sine wave emanations. Some high pitched. Some low. There are, of course, repetitive structures/perceived rhythms, but nothing along the lines of drum or percussive sounds. Just sine waves. And reverb. It's brilliant, despite recent rumble/grumble about Panasonic's stage antics. Pure concept. Any record with this level of individualism/stylisticism should be revered. There's truly NOTHING else like it. Only one track of the CD (#4-Vitamin A) has a non-sine tone (it could even be a clipped sine/cymbal). The rest of the CD is BEAT-LESS (not meaning beats-the acoustic phenomena resulting from two closely-pitched tones (there's much), but beats-drum sounds, 4-OTF kick drum, etc...) Unfortunately my copy of 'Kolmio' is a white label; doesn't list the tracks so I'd be hard pressed to tell you which are 'remixes'. The point to all of this wasted bandwidth is that the product is GOOD.
