when mouse on mars played in london a few months ago they had a group supporting them called brusseler platz (sp?).they were good. i expected to be hearing a lot of them.but no, nothing.so does anyone know anything about them and have they released anything yet? someone told me that a member of m.o.m. is in the group. is that true? -drew np:laraaji-flow goes the universe

Bruessler Platz 10a- The address of A-Musik in Köln. There is some speculation as to the actual lineup. They've recorded a single for the A-Mus. sub label, Sieben (#7.2). Probably a combination of Jan Werner, Frank Dommert, and George Odjik (the latter two being A-Musik's proprietors). It is rumoured that this single is recorded live inside a car. Bruesseler Platz 10a is the address of the A-Musik record store in Cologne. BTW, A-Musik has a web site: http://www.a-musik.com/ There's also a label page. I have seen several 12" under the name Bruesseler Platz 10a, one sounded very noisy. Maybe that's what you're looking for. Karl-Michael.

You're referring to the Sept show @ Dingwalls: two guys, one with his arm in a sling, the other with a lightbulb on his head, right? That was Holosud. They've released one EP on A-Musik so far. 'Brusseler Platz 10a' is the address of the label/shop in Cologne. The dude with the lightbulb and spazz-dance was Jo Schlammpeitziger (not his real name ;-)) whose Kraftwerky synth toons have been around for a while and been remixed by Markus Schmickler, Mouse On Mars etc. The invalid in the armchair was Felix aka FX Randomiz - another A-Musik regular - his Goflex LP is also out now. He made an album called Slow in 1992 with Jan St Werner of MOM (on Werner's Gefriem label); well worth tracking down if you can find it. Best place to look for all this stuff right now seems to be Rough Trade in London, or direct.
