I just saw a CD single of "I Put a Spell on You" by Brian Ferry which has one or two remixes by Future Sound of London (two FSOL tracks, but one may just be a longer version than the other). Can anyone who has this give a capsule review of the FSOL mixes? Thanks in advance. Brad Yost np: cold nothin'

It's trance-lite. You might even be able to dance to it! Simple groove with ominous atmospherics. As expected, almost nothing remains of the original track. As for vox, the boys took a short vocal snippet and mutated therefrom. (FSoL claim that the sample was the most interesting part of the original: a bit of Bryan's monitor headphone spill-over feeding back). Worth a listen, but not essential. 3

Crispy Ambulance were on Factory, I think. Massey used to be in Biting Tongues, also on Factory. Not sure whether this is really relevant to your query, but I'd say it was unlikely to have been a different person. There was a wonderful TV prog. (partly) about Factory/New Order etc. on Friday. Ah.... adam

youre honestly unsubbing because of some folks from socal? thats seems kinda silly, but whatever. i, as a socal kid, hardly consider myself cool.. and really, i have thought about a separate list -- but why? should folks in london and ny have a separate list? or toronto? or detroit? i see KILLER shows and bands being talked about from these areas ALL the time.. and am jealous as hell. so gil flew off the handle. big deal. sorry if somehow our "region" has too big of a presence on the list. should we just pretend we are all from detroit or england? would you stay then? or are you just looking for some slick exit? from now on we socal kids will only post about aphex twin and skam releases. :) chris.
