Personally me thinks this "make your own compilation" thing isn't going to go overly far until it's prices drop. I kinda went over things, and it seems like one would be paying $10-20 for a custom made compilation with no artwork. bah. I'd rather pay that much for a nice, well done release with one or two bunk tracks than for some homegrown thing with no art, info, etc. Although it would serve the nice purpose of giving small poor labels/artists an outlet to cheaply release their works after they've been deleted (and thus end the whole Mask/MP3 debate). Jason.(wishing one of those companies would offer "Spymania Allstars" and _Death of Cool_ in their burning catalogues. It'd be nice to have a cd copy of those vinyl only items!)

id certainly pay that sort of money for a cd that i knew for sure was fullof good tracks though! i mean artwork is great (in fact i just got through the paddington breaks 12" on iLL... now thats good artwork) but at the end of the day its the music that matters to me!

Very much so... or even allow labels to exist 'virtually' whartever that means!

Theres a distinct possibility of some sort of spymania 'home-burnt' project appearing sometime soon... fingers crossed.... Steve /k/./F/
