hello all! just wondering if anyone knows anything about akio milan paak? i bought a 12" a couple of years ago (tracks: fakir/big bird/tarqui) and haven't ever seen anything else. this particular release was on torema records out of japan (ring a bell to any listmembers in japan?). if anyone knows anything, what else is there? what does it sound like? and where can i get it? thanks -marc-

Akio Milan Paak is Japanese hard techno artist Akio Yamamoto and he has several records on the Tormea label, one of which, Lamborghini, was co-produced label owner Fumiya Tanaka. Akio & Fumiya also record together as Hoodrum. Hoodrum had a cd released on Sony Japan back in 1996 called Business Card. The sound of Akio is similar to that of Jeff Mills, Funiya Tanaka and or Takkyu Ishino - hard detroit-esque percussive dancefloor techno. Here are the Akio Milan Paak related records i know of: .
