Ok, question of the night...A friend of mine heard a song (on a classical station playing experimental stuff at the time) which consisted entirely of 'oh's and 'ah's and 'boo's all recorded at different volumes. Does anyone know what she's talking about? Who did this? what's it called? You know, the usual stuff.. It's not new, btw, as this was a few years ago. thanks... ---brian

This could be 'Oh Superman' by Laurie Anderson, an experimental classic and a ~hit~ of sorts for her in years past. Of course it might not be this at all but it is a piece which turns up occasionally and is often referrenced as being very influential in avant-classical (and even possibly in the avant-electronica) circles. thats what sprung to my mind at first as well..... John Cage and Steve Reich have also composed pieces which could be described by the original query as well... it wont do anyone any harm to dig out lots of Anderson, Cage and Reich :-) Steve /k/./F/ np : that pop song done by 'Beth from Neighbours' ...i like this....
