just UK for now, and they don't seem to be getting imported over here at all.

Planet Mu is mike paradinas' label and, up until the Mealtime comp of discussion, it's been soley used for the output of mu-Ziq material. these releases were put out under the 'umbrella' of Virgin/Hut. The previous Planet Mu released were released in the US on Astralwerks/Caroline, but I don't think Mealtime will fall into this catagory. Mike now seems to be functioning it as a 'real' label. Future releases may include (all very sketchy): A jega EP, a horse opera EP, a Like-A-Tim EP, and possibly a boards of canada album (the last of which looks unlikely, as of now, due to the fact BoC are still working on their jump to warp) for more on mike+pmu, please look at: http://www.toptown.com/centralpark/thechurch/mu_ziq/ btw, this will be moving, cause i'm being shut down as of Janurary 1. I'll be sure to post a new url as soon as i find a new location. multsanta//reprensentin' all at da north pole///wishing a merry xmas///

after reading the list recently i have noticed everyone is confused about these 2 releases. here is what i know: the v/vm christmas 7" was limited to 300 worldwide. i got 50 copies in, and none of mine had any tinsel inside. i dont think i have the time to take all of the tinsel out, so the idea that the distributors or shops did that seems a bit off base. i think the v/vm guys probably hand distributed some, and did the tinsel bit to those shops who got them straight off the label the boards 7" is not out yet. i have at least 2 sources i can get them from and one told me it was pushed back, and the other in the uk approached me for pre-orders yesterday. it looks like it will be down to the wire to get them out before christmas. the new skam single is in the same situation i do believe. dont know much about it yet. same goes for mask 3. i was also asked how many i would want yesterday, so it is near the shipping date i would think the mealtime comp is a bit of a mystery. no-one stateside knows anything about it. i called astralwerks and they are not putting it out either, so the export ban concept seems unlikely. got my feelers out, and i expect to know something soon see ya - pj np: the sound of the little voices inside my head and those new dot records too -- pj>the exalted grand puba of mail order modern music 1018 north charles st, baltimore, md. 21201 fon: 410.625 9390 fax: 410.625 9359 http://www.modernmusic.com password for website is: gogo

More like impossible since I've seen copies of this comp at two different shops in Toronto, and suppliers in the UK usually apply US export bans to Canadian customers as well. Greg
