This week the Advent have released a unique cd/4x12"
called Kombination Phunk on the Metalbox (?) label.
The reason i call it interesting is because it is
not a traditional album of new tracks. It is 12 tracks
by various artists all remixed by the advent. The
artists that the advent remixes are Outline, Planetary
Assult Systems, JB3, Surgeon, RAC, DJ K1, Damon Wild,
Morgan, 2 Dopplerefekt, and 2 Advent tracks. I've only
given it a cursory listen so far but i can tell already
that this is an excellent release. The standouts are
the remixes of Outline, PAS, RAC, and the Dopplerefekt.
In fact, the Doppplerefekt remix of Porno Star is to
die for. A more complete review soon.
