Erm.. this question is being asked on behalf of a friend of mine. (cough)
My friend has a PowerBook G3 (Wall Street) and would like to try his hand
at making his own music. Are there any freeware tools (for either MacOS or
LinuxPPC) that facilitate this process?
Including commercial software, is there any cheap hardware for the hobbyist
who would like to make his or her own tracks without spending more than
500-1000 dollars? (And would be pluggable into/controlled by a Mac?) Also,
something that would let the user feed the sound into a CD-R or something
similar.
Private responses are fine. Or if professional/serious amateurs would like
to cc:/enlighten the list, that's cool too.
My friend thanks you in advance.
Yrs,
A.
