I'm sorry too - it was a bit Anglocentric of me! But yes, you're right. He's a spoof sports commentator, and it just sounded like the kind of thing he'd say. Try and get hold of a BBC TV show called 'The Day Today' or a BBC radio show called 'On The Hour' for more examples of his style........ Um... yeah, it seemed funny at the time anyway. ;-) Damon.
