Morph : Stormwatch (New Electronica ELEC 11CD) Does anyone have this one? Who is Morph ? Is it worth of buying for 13ukp (US$22) ? Russ Gabriel : Voltage Control (Input Neuron Muzique, INMCD4) Can someone tell me few words on this one ? Is it similar to GPR style electronica (ie Black Dog, Luke Slater...)? Roupe : Storm (Input Neuron Muzique, INMCD2) I own Roupe : Entelechy (Resource, CD002) and I love it. I've searched for 'Strom' quite a long time, so I'd like to ask you if it is released ? Does anyone own it ? Does anyone have new Baby Ford : Headphoneasyrider (black market) ? Is it Ifach style funkeeeelectronica (like Vulva or Sympletic) or is it more dance oriented like Peter's earlier works ? Can you point me out where can I find some reviews on these ? any help really apreciate, rob np : ensemble : elegy (A.R.T. records)

I write: Voltage Control is in the same vein as the Op Art, Clear, New Electronica, etc. releases. Lucious, pure, stripped down techno that has a very Detroit feel. Comparable to AI 1 in sophistication. Oh I'm reading Lance's email right now. He says the same thing. Oh well. Yeah get it. Very good. And I was under the impression it was pretty hard to find nowadays. In his interview at Forcefield, RG claims to dislike Voltage Control (maybe to him it sounds dated/simplistic?). I dig that minimal sound. peace Nate

Morph is Damon Wild & Dennis Ferrer. They're style is pounding acidic techno with a few downtempo moments every now and then. I really enjoyed this cd when it came out but i havent listened to it lately.

I'm a huge Russ Gabriel fan. Almost everything he does is gold in my eyes. This release features the sounds of warm soulful electronica and techno very much in the Carl Craig style. It's well worth having.

Roupe's Storm was released back in 95 (i think). The Roupe storm cd is good but it's not like the Entelechy cd. Storm is more of an abstract techno/ electronica record. It's devoid of the d&b flavor that is so prevalent on the Entelechy cd but i still like it.

Anything Peter Ford has released since 1993 is also a sure bet for me. But this cd is especially good. Brilliant Ifach-style electronica much in the same style as Black Dog, Repeat, and Mark Broom. More listening music than floor fodder but great nonetheless. This release will be one of my top cds of 1997. If i had to rank the above releases from best too lest, this is how they'd fall: . Peter Ford: Headphoneasyrider cd (Black Market) . Russ Gabriel: Volage Control cd (Input Neuron Muzique) . Morph: Stormwatch cd (New Electronica) . Roupe: Storm cd (Input Neuron Muzique) Hope this helps! -->-Lance--- p.o. box 450715 westlake, ohio 44145 united states

Does anyone own it ? I recently found the _Strom_ CD used in Los Angeles, so it's released (don't know if it's still in print, though). The tracks tend to "noodle" around a bit and I wish things were a bit more cohesive at times (Atom Heart syndrome), but it's still good IDM in down tempo mode. } Does anyone have new Baby Ford : Headphoneasyrider } (black market) ? I lost track of Peter's work since BFord 9, but this is nothing like that album, IMO. Also I've been meaning to mention that those into Chain Reaction/ Basic Channel/Porter Ricks should definitely track down Experimental Audio Research - _The Koner Experiment_ [1997 Sonic Boom/Space Age Recordings]. The CD is a little over 46 min. of trance inducing, delayed bleeps and rhythms ala CR 002. The perfect CD for late night relaxation... E r i c F r a n s ----------------------

I cannot believe that Peter made "minimal techno" album. Is it something like O albums or Fred Gianelli's on Sahko ? I must have it, whatever it is I'll order it today.
