Hey, yeah, recently most of the breakbeaty idm stuff is done on powerbooks, at least with Kid606, Unit, Jake Mandell, and whoever else. But I'm still trying to find a couple sources of some Squarepusher lead sounds:: 1) The main melodies in JOURNEY TO REEDHAM 7am MIX (Big Loada) 2) The main melody in PSULTAN (Bull Caner) Any help appreciated. Oh yeah, BTW, yeah, technically my kit list is kinda big and I can definitely minimize. To still maintain good live improv ability I'd love to use so'm like Akai S-3000XL (sampler) Roland MC-80 (sequencer) Nord Micro Mod (synth) FR-777 or Devilfish TB-303 (synth) Electribe-R (sequencer) I'd be pretty happy w/ that. Wouldn't the Nord Micromod be able to emulate those evil Squarepusher FM leads?? Is there any reason why you prefer to use the S-3000XL for a sampler instead of the Akai MPC 2000 or the Ensoniq ASR-10? I'm looking into buying a sampler.
