The Regrip release is a much more experimental release than any of the previous Ishii releases. It features remixes by a host of japanese artists including Rei Harakami, Co-Fusion, Akio Milanpaak, Dr. Sheepman, Eye Yamataka, Keigo Oyamada, Yoshihiro Sawasaki, Tsutchie, Ken Ishii and DJ Takemura. The styles vary considerably from techno to idm to d&b to freejazz, psuedo-noise and triphop. There were a few good remixes but i much prefered the original. -->-Lance--- p.o. box 450715 westlake, ohio 44145 united states

From what my ears hear, the flare material sounds a little more dancefloor friendly dabbling with elements of techno and house music while still keeping the sound suprisingly unique. I prefer the Flare material to his Ishii stuff - especially his releases on the Reel Musiq label. Choice stuff. A little Flare Discog... . Flare: Regrip 2x12"/cd (Sublime) .
