well, after listening to "industrial" music for years and years and years.... i eventually obtained a thirst for "other" types of electronic music. (being IDM) since i live about 30 minutes from a lovely little shop (MODERN MUSIC), i browsed the IDM section, and started buying stuff. than, being the wise college student my parents supposedly think i am, i joined the IDM list. lately, here's all the valuable information i obtained regarding IDM: the legalities of CD burning / tape dubbing misogyny (in a somewhat indirect way..) myopic views on music ultra-elitist bullshit now, i'm always open-minded (probably less than i'd like to think, but hey...) to new information / ideas, etc. but i was just wondering when "discussions" involving IDM were gonna be posted. yes, the legalities of copyrighting and so on do include music, but "threading it out" over endless posts is beyond pointless. maybe i'm just asking for too much.. chrisTiaN (sorry for the extended intro to this post. damn college english classes have me caught in "essay" mode...) -- " In the future people will think it strange that we only ever used the phone to talk to one another. welcome to this world... didn't you know idm stands for 'idiots discuss music'? there once was a lovely when idm was 'intelligent dance music' but that time is long gone :-(. in fact looking through my old mail... 90% of the posts in the last three days were people on copyrights, people bickering about plaid vocals, or the pronounciation of 'blech'.
