/trainspotter on I saw on the Feedback Monitor new release web page that the KLF were coming out with a (supposedly) limited to 3,333 release called "Waiting For The Rites of Mu". That was supposed to be out Oct 16, if I recall. At any rate, it's not listed on the site anymore, and I've yet to hear/see anything about it anywhere. Does anybody know _anything_ about this title, such as what label it's being released on, what the tracklisting is, is it a legit release, where can I score a copy, etc? /trainspotter off onNow: Duran Duran- Electric Barbarella EP- why oh why do these guys bother anymore? -- jr

It's a bootleg on Echo Beach consisting of the soundtracks to the "Waiting" video and a longer version of the "Rites of Mu" documentary featuring narration by Martin Sheen (!). Dunno where you can get one, sorry... -- ::: Lazlo (lazlo@swcp.com; http://www.swcp.com/lazlo) ::: Internet Music Wantlists: http://www.swcp.com/lazlo/Wantlists

anyone else pick this up? side a = "***k the Millenium", side b is two versions of the 'acid brass' mix of 'What Time is Love" it's goddam hilarious. Militant chants of "Fuck the Millenium", a breakdown featuring a Retired Sailor's Choir, yummy bassy breakbeats, and on the flip side, "...Love" pouded out by what sounds like an entire brass symphony. heh. -s

I picked up the cd single... 4 tracks, as follow: 1. ***k the Millenium 13:59 2. Acid Brass/What Time Is Love [Version K] 4:31 3. ***k the Millenium [Radio Edit] 4:18 4. ***k the Millenium [Censored Radio Edit] 4:18

Yeah, the first track is a nice medley of KLF stuff, including plenty of versions of the WTIL melody, and some older/rarer samples. The second track just about knocked me off my chair... It's just too funny listening to that brass band belt out the tune I've had drilled into my head so many times. An absolute classic remake. The Radio edit is just the first track cut down to a reasonable time. The Censored Radio Edit is a bit funny as well, as I didn't catch quite a few of the "colorful metaphors", but did catch the louder-than-normal censoring ***BLEEP*** that highlights each one. Well worth my money, this one is. Also worth mention for this particular trip to HMV was finding an Underworld Dark & Long single, with 6 tracks... Includes Thing In A book, Spoon Deep, Dark Hard, Dark Train, and Burts. Now I just need to find the supposed 70-minute version, and my life shall be complete. -- jr
