anyone know the status of suction records kristian release (believe it was supposed to be released this month)? I haven't seen it anywhere and haven't heard anything about it, but it sounded pretty interesting (different direction that previous kristian stuff i've heard) also, anyone heard the 1st suction 12" (split, but can't remember who it was a spilt with... solvent and another) any help, reviews, whatnot appreciated! Don't know about Kristian releasing anything on suction as of yet, but he does have a full-length and I believe a 12" ready or out now on Alien8 records. Also out of Canada. I've dealt with both of those record lables direct. What I've been told about Kristian's future releases, is that he's basically not interested in pursuing the Dn'B thing. He's more into creating abstract electronica. Whatever that may entail.

Yes, there's a new CD on Alien8. It's called Cricklewood, and it's about as far from his d'n'b stuff as you can imagine. Totally minimal & spooky analogue weirdness. No 12" is planned on Alien8 (perhaps you're thinking of the long-planned 12" and full-length d'n'b disc on Discreet/Indiscreet), but a remix album called "Woodworking" will be out in the new year sometime.

David told me in an email interview that most of his d'n'b material was recorded around 2 years ago.

Solvent and Lowfish. Fucking amazing stuff on the Skam/MAS/Schematic/etc. experimental electronica tip. If I weren't so tired (and my girlfriend wasn't asleep) I'd pull it out for a listen and a review, but trust me, just get it if you see it. PulseSoniq has finally started properly distributing it, so it should be in shops by now. Greg
