Hello all... cc: IDM bcc: various cats Next Friday the 24th, I will be dj'ing the in between spots and the early hours of a show happening at The Westbeth Theater in NYC. Exact details not at my disposal. I will repost closer to the date. This is the last show of the American tour: ++++++Main/Bowery Electric/Byzar++++++++ I'll be playing a little ( or a lot ) of everything. C'mon up and say hello if you're so inclined. a tip: The upcoming Animals on Wheels on Ninja Tune should *blow* *you* *away* un: fucking : believable! Ninjas have done it again! np: a pile of demos ( yes, thanks for waiting, y'all. I finally got a new stereo ) PS: anyone who sent me email this Monday....it has gone to digital heaven and I did'nt read it. I changed hardware, transferred files and faced some serious file corruption. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ bpm0@interport.net, Peter Becker - North American Distribution, Retail marketing, DJ Pool, Demo tape filter Asphodel : PO Box 51, Chelsea Station, NY NY 10113 p: (212) 604-9362 , f: (212) 604-0783 , http://www.asphodel.com ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

I just saw Main and Bowery Electric in Toronto last weekend. Definately worth checking out. Neither had much in terms of a stage show or lighting but the sound was intense. B.E. did a bunch of D&B mixes of their material. If you hate bands that use sequences/recordings as part of their act then skip this one. B.E had a live drummer and all, but most of the beats were recorded or sequenced, B R E N D E N

speaking of bowery e, i just picked up a couple of remixes, but forgive me, i have not the disc in front of me and i cant give any real info. the sleeve is gold colored and there is an amazing crunchy ambientish remix on one side that i instantly fell in love with. n.p. cujo- adventures in foam (quite a nice surprise, never heard of him till i got into his newer stuff) apor

while they were in Boston I got...this 2cd remix thing-ama-bop Bowery Electric _vertigo_ bbq315cdd beggars banquet uk 1.1 fear of flying 1.2 fear of flying (chasm mix) - robert hamson 1.3 black light (osymyso mix) - mark nicholson 2.1 without stopping (witchman mix) - john roome 2.2 coming down (immersion mix) - colin newman/malka spigel 2.3 black light (dunderhead mix) - nigel smith 2.4 empty words (twisted science mix) - john tye 2.5 fear of flying (third eye foundation mix) - matt elliot 2.6 elementary particles (main mix) - robert hampton comes in a slick gatefold pouch holder. emphasis on the beatier side of b.e. brought to life by some beat eaters. nice accessable grooves, dirty enough not to be confused with the likes of william orbit, but flowing enough to be mentioned in the same breath as strage cargo three etc. def, highway driving music when you're forced to stay w/in 5mph of the speed limit (read: cruise control) main is the man! amp
