Definitely fiction This was an example of a promoter screwing up an event and trying to cover his ass by screwing over the talent. There were numerous problems with the guy not wanting to pay their deposit (after a contract was done), and, if you know anything about booking, it screws up everyone because if someone legitimate wants to book you, you're tied up with someone else, hoping they keep up with their end of the bargain. Also, if the event was promoted saying that there was going to be going to be a live PA by Aux, then that was a lie as well. It's one thing to say that Aux 88's DJ will be there, but another thing to say the group itself would be there. On the topic of possession. Anyone who knows anything about AUX (and yeah, I've dealt with AUX personally) knows that that's not what they're about, *ANY* of them. That anyone would use this as a cover for fucking up their own event is disgusting and damaging not only to the band and anyone who is associated with it, but to the entire scene in general. In even responding, I know I'm opening the door to "but you don't know for sure that the promoter said any of this." Yes, this is third hand information, but it's what's commonly referred to as "bitch shit." Starting some dumb ass rumors to cover your own. If he didn't start this mess, he needs to come out and end it. As for Dijital's performance, I wasn't there...usually, he's sweet as hell. He was a pretty well established DJ before coming into AUX and not due to hype. Given the situation, the event, the promoter, I wouldn't be surprised if it threw him off. I know several DJs who, if stuff isn't in order, won't play at all. Maybe he should've followed their example...
