For what it's worth: I've been looking for any and all Sueno Latino releases since the "Ambient House: A Compilation By DFC" disc came out. To date all I've been able to track down are the US "Sueno Latino" 12" and the UK 12" for "Luxuria". If anyone can help me get my hands on any other releases, especially on CD, I'd appreciate them dropping me a line in email . . . -- ::: Lazlo (lazlo@swcp.com; http://www.swcp.com/lazlo)

So this *doesn't* have the Derrick May / Carl Craig remix? (*gasp*) What's the Love From San Francisco mix like? If there's anyone who could get away with remixing Suneo Latino into something equally stunning, it's got to be Charles Webster. I haven't heard a single bad LFSF remix yet. Check his remix of "The Andor Voyage" by Metro Dade (aka Gerd from Sensurreal) on Music Man. Simply gorgeous. Back to the Sueno Latino thing: there's also a doublepack out with various remixes (including the DM / CC remix). I was expecting the worst of the other remixes, but much to my surprise they weren't that bad (assuming you're into the more housier side of things). Especially the latin-remix manages to keep the Sueno Latino-vibe more or less intact. Otto

Here's yet another track based on the old Sueno Latino/e2-e4 cut. Its on an album called Ambient Senses 2 on FSOL's label Jumpin and Pumpin (1994) and is attributed to Deep Secret ("the artist wishes to remain undercover") its called "Manuel versus the Apaches" and is a more ambient version with some mellow chilled-out guitar over the top. A cool album with exclusives by wagon Christ, Irresistable Force, Kenny Larkin etc and the first one looks even cooler with Aphex twin, FSOL, Sun electric and others being listed on its cover picture on this release.
