Hi IDMers,
In the midst of this heated Bjork debate/scrap, I wondered if any of you
could help me out with the tracklistings of a couple CD albums I got on
promo for a couple of quid each, namely:
Clatterbox's "Easy Does It" LP
and
Ferox Recordings' "Adventures In Technosoul" LP
The latter has a tracklist but no artist names. Anyone care to fill in
the blanks?
Venus Fly Trap -
Wake Up To The Source -
Lost Point -
Stom The Funk -
Sandcastle -
End of the Road -
Galapogos Theory -
Origin of Species -
I know it includes tracks/mixes by Eddie "Flashin'" Fowlkes, Mark Broom,
Claude Young and no doubt Mr Ferox himself Russ Gabriel. Cheers to
anyone who can help.
Another thing I got for the same price was the Heights of Abraham CD
'Electric Hush', which I've heard before but never got around to buying.
It's an excellent CD which seems to been overlooked in general, which is
odd considering it sounds like little I've ever heard before or since
(Global Goon is a little similar). Anyway the version I've got is a
promo release, but not on the usual Pork Recordings. Instead it is on
the ZTT/WEA/Warners conglomo and the date on the back is copyright 1997,
which I found most odd. Does anyone know anything more of this ie have
Pork finally succumbed to the lure of the majors?/is this getting a full
major release and when?/and why now? (because its damn good I suppose -
it's as good a reason as any).
Got some other cool for the same price too, namely Dan Curtain's "Web of
Life" compilation of the stuff on Metamorphic, As One's "Celestial Soul"
and the Dr. Rockit LP "The Music of Sound", so it's been a good day for
me :-)
Apologies if any of this stuff has been discussed lately, I've been away
for a while...

PS Did 'Come To Daddy' reach the shops this week?
