um, too much stuff to write about but ... yak sato (owner of zappo mailing list) came to see me tonite he brought me some excellent japanese techno & hiphop to hear and one amazing find is the new cd on SYZYGY records from Fukuoka Its by Takayuki Shiraishi and some of it is 10 years old!! its all classic detroit-esque and ambient techno and very beautiful indeed. pity most of their releases are cd only;, but it's a great label i could be wrong but i think shiraishi featured on the amazing 12" by web [e.v.a.] released on fat cat's [r.i.p.] label [first and only release] 8-10 months ago, twas licensed from syzgy, akin to ken ishi's earlier [and much better imho] material, all bustling compressed rhythms in weird time signatures and sublime detroit-esque melodies flying in at obtuse angles btw bears no relation to syzygy on rising high get into it stuart @ mfr -- http://dialspace.dial.pipex.com/mfr/ cutting edge mail order..elecktronic label [esoteric, non-generic material wanted]
