I asked about 4hero "two pages" the other day, and got completely ignored. why is that? 1) I didnt knew the secret-idm-handshake 2) you dont like 4hero (oh, well, no one's perfect) 3) its not idm (well, its inteligent, its music, and you can dance to it, so...) So as a last try, anyone knows about the album? (out yet? any good?) thanks ok, I'll shut up pedro

IDMers don't handshake, unless of course it's a ploy to pull you out of the way of the 'experimental/ambient' bins. ;)

Probably not this.

DEGO is a living example of IDM. Straight up. NQA. I heard thru the grapevine (not much longer would you be mine) that he's starting up a TECHNO label. Or, at least, something with a less drums and bass slant to it. I'll try and get as much info about this as possible and report back. (ie Release schedule, artists in cue etc) Honest, if your plea for information goes unanswered, don't be surprised. Now, if there's an autechre/rdj/rephlex/clear/ai/dr/ thread which passes w/o reply, you know you're being ignored... ;) Teep PS: if you come down to providence tonight, say hello 2 me I'll be the goateed geezer with the IDM tshirt on, yeah$

He's run Reflective in the UK, not to be confused with Reflective US or Reflective UK (Jonah Sharp's labels), which released the two seminal 'Deeper Shade of Techno' comps in addition to some singles which I've heard of and never seen. =) 4Hero do deep techno under the name Nu-Era, with releases on Ovum(?!) and SSR. They're also downtempo groovesters Tek 9. Like Teep said. Living examples of IDM, just not creating as many sycophants as Rephlex. Joe
