o.k., here's where I need advice. what GPR artists below are a MUST BUY from my 'unknown to me' listing: wayne dancemaster archibald? hi ryze? lagowski (same as stuff on Hypnobeat/Hyperium?) andy pickford? sunkings (heard one song, sort of boring Sun Electric, Orb-ish... other stuff better?) nev (song on "equanimity" was pretty good, but hard to judge by one track)

you should buy all three of the nev ep's and the forthcomming "inside nevsound" lp...if it ever gets released http://www.servtech.com/public/nev

the first nev release on gpr...been described as "detroity" by some...lots of blips and bleeps and funky-ass bass all over the place with a smattering of thumps, whumps, squiggles, wiggles, clinks and clanks thrown in for good measure. described as "chick music" by mr. nev. everything just flows really really nicely...and nary a squarepusher or autechre reworking in sight ;) personaly i like the "my plasma block ep" the best out of the three (available on cd to boot - no flipping!) for all you obsessive types there is also a nev track on transatlantic express vol.1 and there is the pre-gpr "how deep can you beep" 12" (good luck)...for the really obsessive there is a nev mix on the vapourspace "vista humana" 12" but i forget if it's on the promo FFRR, the offical FFRR, or the vapour release - hell, maybe its on all three.

Indexa Philosopher is also on CD, but good luck finding a copy. I've got a bud who knows Tim from wayback who has the only copy I've seen. Che

The nev remix of vaporspace's vista humana is on the official FFRR cdep. BTW: My favorite Nev release is the From above, it ripples over stone 12." Excellent idmish electronica that fans of beaumont hannant/early autechre would really appreciate. -->-Lance--- p.o. box 450715 westlake, ohio 44145 united states
