I haven't checked this out yet, and I don't remember if it has been posted yet, but here's the ra from Kraftwerk at Tribal Gathering. http://www.andreas.de/kraftwerk/index.html And her's a question from a Kraftwerk ignoramus... Which is the dancy album, Computer World or Man Machine? All I have is the Mix (and I'm damn glad I didn't pay for it) Sam

And http://www.holon.net/qforce/kraftwerk.ram of course. :-)

Don't know that dancey is the best word. But I know what you mean. Computer World. Well worth a listen. Has a real groove to it. -- Q-Force qforce@holon.net http://www.holon.net/qforce/

While I can't really point you into the right direction either since I only own "Computer World" and "Trans Europe Express"....which are both great.... I think Autechre said once that one of their favorite songs was "It's More Fun To Compute" from "Computer World"... I liked Computer world alot better than Man Machine when I listened to it in the store. Rusty

Not sure what you mean by "dancy"... Anyway _Computer World_ is the record that you could consider to be the direct or indirect inspiration for most electro, and as such could be considered Highly IDM Relevant. I'd consider both records essential, but then I'm funny that way... -d.w.

i'm sorry, but NUMBERS is possibly one of the greatest dance tracks ever recorded. conceptually brilliant, simple, and utterly devastating. no coincidence that several zillion dance records have come out swiping the beats from it. (so my vote is for Computer World. not to mention what a fucking prophetic album it is. almost inconceivable that it was recorded in 1982!) -- Jon Drukman jsd@gamespot.com SpotMedia Communications ...I was an infinitely hot and dense dot...
